I've ordered the rear JD ballast box to use with my JD 4115 w/I-Match quick hitch. I'm wondering how much ballast weight is added? I will fill ballast box with concrete. I do know concrete w/gravel weights about 150 lbs. cu. ft.

I guess the correct question to ask is what's the ballast box size or dimensions? I do not want loaded rear turf tires for the summer mowing season.

Ballast box part # BW15073, iMatch compatible: Box = 88 pounds + sand = 616 pounds; + concrete = 780 pounds; + portland cement = 1,014 pounds. If you add the extension add 8 pounds + 176 pounds for sand; 8 + 230 pounds for concrete; and 8 + 308 pounds for portland cement. So, with concrete and no extension your ballast is 780 pounds. Concrete with the extension = 1,018 pounds.

These are the specs from JD sell-in literature for dealers. I think this is the same box used for the 2210/4010/4110 and 4115, but you should probably verify the part number.
